Target Information

CD127 (Interleukin-7 receptor, IL-7Rα) is a glycoprotein involved in lymphopoiesis regulation. The active IL7R receptor is an alpha/gamma chain heterodimer.

• Gamma(c) chain: activates signal transduction by the IL7R complex
• Alpha chain: determines specific signaling events

CD127 promotes proliferation of precursor B cells, thymocytes, T cell progenitors, and mature CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.
Dysfunction of CD127 is associated with severe combined immunodeficiency and T cell negative/B cell negative/NK positive severe combined immunodeficiency.
