Product Specific Information

Alexa Fluor™ Plus recombinant antibodies are conjugated using proprietary dye chemistry to deliver brighter fluorescence and improved signal-to-noise ratio compared to conventional Alexa Fluor™ conjugates.
These recombinant antibodies offer enhanced specificity and lot-to-lot consistency through in vitro expression of cloned antibody genes.

Usage Note:
Before use, briefly centrifuge the conjugate solution and use only the supernatant to minimize nonspecific background from aggregates.

Applications Tested:
This Btjce antibody has been validated for:

• Immunohistochemistry of mouse brain tissue
• Immunocytochemistry and flow cytometry of NTERA-2 cells

Recommended concentrations:

• ICC: 2 µg/mL
• Flow Cytometry: ≤0.25 µg/test (100 µL final volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test)

Excitation/Emission: 494/519 nm (Blue Laser)
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered

Target Information

SOX2 encodes a transcription factor from the SRY-related HMG-box (SOX) family, crucial for embryonic development and stem-cell maintenance in the central nervous system. It also regulates gene expression in the stomach.
The SOX2 gene is located within an intron of SOX2 overlapping transcript (SOX2OT). Mutations can cause bilateral anophthalmia, optic nerve hypoplasia, and syndromic microphthalmia.
