- Specificity: Recognizes the 55kDa human CD4 cell surface antigen, expressed by helper T lymphocytes and monocytes.
Target Information
CD4 항원은 MHC class II 분자 인식에 관여하며 HIV의 공동 수용체 역할을 합니다. 주로 T-림프구(subset of T-helper cells)에 발현되며, 단핵구, 대식세포, 수지상세포 등에서도 발현될 수 있습니다. 조직 수준에서는 흉선, 림프절, 편도, 비장 및 일부 뇌, 장, 비림프조직에서 검출됩니다. CD4는 T세포 수용체 복합체 및 단백질 티로신 키나아제 Lck와의 결합을 통해 T세포 활성화 초기 단계를 유도하거나 증폭시키며, 중추신경계 감염 및 면역질환에서 신경 손상 매개체로도 작용할 수 있습니다. 이 유전자에서는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사체가 확인되었습니다. [RefSeq, July 2017]
