Product Specific Information
Recognizes human Vascular Adhesion Protein-1 (VAP-1), a glycosylated homodimeric membrane protein consisting of two 90 kDa subunits connected by disulfide bonds.
2D10 is a conformational specific antibody that recognizes an epitope present only in the dimeric form of VAP-1.
Elevated soluble VAP-1 serum levels have been described in several inflammatory diseases as well as colorectal cancer.
Target Information
Copper amine oxidases catalyze the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and quinone cofactor.
The product is a major protein on the adipocyte plasma membrane, exhibiting adhesive properties and functional monoamine oxidase activity.
A pseudogene for this gene has been described and is located approximately 9 kb downstream.
