Product Specific Information
The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).
Target Information
ITPKA regulates inositol phosphate metabolism by phosphorylating the second messenger inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate to Ins(1,3,4,5)P4. This enzyme controls levels of multiple inositol polyphosphates crucial for cellular signaling. Its activity is modulated by calcium/calmodulin and protein phosphorylation mechanisms. It is also a substrate for cyclic AMP-dependent protein kinase, calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II, and protein kinase C in vitro.
