Target Information

USP13 is a deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of target proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10, participating in processes including autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).
It is part of a regulatory loop controlling autophagy and p53/TP53 levels by stabilizing key complexes and regulating protein degradation pathways.
USP13 also mediates stabilization of SIAH2 independently of its deubiquitinase activity and preferentially cleaves Lys-63–linked polyubiquitin chains.
It may also cleave ISG15 in vitro, though additional validation is required.
