Target Information
USP13 is a deubiquitinase that mediates deubiquitination of proteins such as BECN1, MITF, SKP2, and USP10, involved in processes like autophagy and endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD).
It participates in a regulatory loop controlling autophagy and p53/TP53 levels, stabilizing key complexes and regulating protein degradation. USP13 also interacts with nuclear UFD1 and regulates ERAD through deubiquitination of UBL4A.
It stabilizes SIAH2 independently of deubiquitinase activity and preferentially cleaves Lys-63–linked polyubiquitin chains.
