Target Information
Heme oxygenase (HO)는 heme을 biliverdin과 carbon monoxide로 산화시키는 미소체 효소입니다. HO는 유도성 HO-1과 항상성 HO-2 두 동형효소로 구성되어 있습니다.
HO-1은 산화 스트레스, 염증성 자극, TGF-β, 열충격 등 다양한 자극에 의해 유도되며, 세포의 산화 스트레스 방어 기전으로 작용합니다. HO-1의 발현 증가로 인해 항산화물질인 bilirubin 생성이 증가할 수 있습니다.
