Product Specific Information
This antibody detects recombinant human Tenascin X isoform 2 in direct ELISAs and human Tenascin X in Western blots.
In direct ELISAs, less than 1% cross-reactivity with recombinant human Tenascin R is observed.
Reconstitute in sterile PBS to a final concentration of 0.2 mg/mL.
Target Information
Tenascin-X (TNXB) is an extracellular matrix glycoprotein predominantly located in the outer reticular lamina of the basement membrane (BM).
It interacts with various ECM proteins and accelerates collagen fibrillogenesis in vitro.
TNXB is involved in cell–ECM interactions, exhibits antiadhesive effects, inhibits cell migration, and maintains extracellular matrix homeostasis.
Deficiency of TNXB has been associated with the connective tissue disorder Ehlers-Danlos syndrome.
