Product Specific Information
The eBio4B10 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse and human T-bet.
T-bet is a Th1-specific T-box transcription factor critical to the development of the Th1 CD4+ T cell lineage.
T-bet expression is induced by IFN-γ and regulates IFN-γ, IL-12Rβ, and IL-2 expression through chromatin remodeling.
It also plays a role in class-switch recombination in B-cells.
Applications Reported: Immunohistochemical staining (FFPE tissue, citrate retrieval), immunoprecipitation, and western blotting.
Applications Tested: Western blot analysis of Th1-polarized mouse CD4+ T cells (recommended starting dilution: 2 µg/mL).
Purity: >90% by SDS-PAGE.
Aggregation: <10% by HPLC.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.
Target Information
T-bet (TBX21) is a T-cell specific transcription factor containing a T-box DNA-binding domain.
It controls expression of the Th1 cytokine interferon-gamma and regulates Th1 vs Th17 differentiation.
T-bet cooperates with Stat4 to program chromatin architecture for Th1 gene expression.
Genetic variations in T-bet are associated with aspirin-induced asthma and nasal polyps.
