Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human sTNF Receptor Type II. Anti-Human sTNF Receptor Type II-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography employing an immobilized Human sTNF Receptor Type II matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human sTNF Receptor Type II by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required. This antigen affinity purified antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human sTNF Receptor Type II (500-P168Bt) as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human sTNF Receptor Type II.

Western Blot:
To detect Human sTNF Receptor Type II by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human sTNF Receptor Type II is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

TNFR2 (tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily member 1B) is a receptor with high affinity for TNFSF2/TNF-alpha. It has a much lower affinity for homotrimeric TNFSF1/lymphotoxin-alpha. The TRAF1/TRAF2 complex recruits the apoptotic suppressors BIRC2 and BIRC3 to TNFRSF1B/TNFR2. TNFR2 mediates most of the metabolic effects of TNF-alpha.
