Reconstitute with 1 mL of distilled water. After reconstitution, store undiluted at 4ºC in the dark.
For FACS analysis, use 10 µL of the suggested working dilution to label 1×10⁶ cells in 100 µL.

Mouse anti-Rat CD11b, clone OX-42, recognizes rat CD11b (integrin alpha-M), receptor for the iC3b complement component.
CD11b is a 1151 amino acid single-pass type 1 transmembrane glycoprotein with a vWFA domain and multiple FG-GAP repeats.

Target Information

Integrins are heterodimeric integral membrane proteins composed of alpha and beta chains.
CD11b mediates adhesive interactions of monocytes, macrophages, and granulocytes, and uptake of complement-coated particles.
It is identical to CR3, the receptor for the iC3b fragment of complement component 3.
CD11b also binds fibrogen, factor X, and ICAM1, and recognizes P1/P2 peptides of the fibrogen gamma chain.

The Mac1 CD11b antigen is expressed on macrophages, granulocytes, NK cells, and blood monocytes.
Expression levels: 8% spleen cells, 44% bone marrow cells, <1% thymocytes.
Commonly used as a microglial marker in nervous tissue.

CD11c encodes the integrin alpha X chain, which combines with beta 2 chain (ITGB2) to form CR4 (inactivated-C3b receptor 4).
The alpha X beta 2 complex overlaps with alpha M beta 2 integrin in neutrophil and monocyte adhesion and phagocytosis.
Mutations in CD11b/c genes are associated with systemic lupus erythematosus 6.
