Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of Rad17 only when phosphorylated at Ser646, which site was historically referenced as Ser635.
Target Information
Rad17 is essential for sustained cell growth, maintenance of chromosomal stability, and ATR-dependent checkpoint activation upon DNA damage. It exhibits weak ATPase activity required for chromatin binding. Rad17 participates in the recruitment of the RAD1-RAD9-HUS1 complex and RHNO1 onto chromatin, as well as in CHEK1 activation. It may also act as a sensor of DNA replication progression and be involved in homologous recombination.
