Product Specific Information
Description:
The 205yekta antibody reacts with mouse CD205 (DEC-205), an integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation that enhances antigen-specific T cell immunity. CD205 is highly expressed by CD8⁺ dendritic cells and is also found in bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, bone marrow-derived DCs, and thymic epithelial cells.
Note:
CD205 binds to PE-Cy5.5 antibody and streptavidin conjugates; therefore, this format should not be used on CD205⁺ dendritic cells.
Applications Reported:
Flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse bone marrow cells. Recommended ≤0.03 µg per test (100 µL final volume). Cell number may vary from 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best results.

Target Information
CD205 (LY75, Lymphocyte Antigen 75):
An integral membrane glycoprotein involved in antigen uptake, trafficking, and presentation to enhance antigen-specific T cell immunity. Expressed in CD8⁺ dendritic cells, bone marrow Gr1⁺ cells, Langerhans cells, and thymic epithelial cells. Functions as an endocytic receptor directing captured antigens to specialized antigen processing regions and contributes to regulation of B lymphocyte proliferation.
Associated diseases: pneumonic plague, lipid pneumonia.
