Product Specific Information

The eBio1560 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Endothelial Protein C Receptor (EPCR, CD201), a 25 kDa type I transmembrane protein expressed on endothelial cells. EPCR is homologous to MHC class I/CD1 family proteins and serves as a ligand for Protein C, playing a critical role in enhancing Protein C activation and regulating coagulation and inflammation.

Deletion of EPCR leads to embryonic lethality, partially due to placental thrombosis. EPCR expression identifies bone marrow cells capable of hematopoietic reconstitution comparable to stem cells isolated by conventional methods.
The eBio1560 monoclonal antibody detects these hematopoietic stem cells, while the eBiomRCR-16 antibody should be used for endothelial CD201 detection.

Applications Tested: Tested on bEnd.3 cell line; ≤1 µg/test (100 µL volume, 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test).

Target Information

The encoded protein is a receptor for activated Protein C, a serine protease involved in the blood coagulation pathway. It is an N-glycosylated type I membrane protein that enhances Protein C activation. Mutations are associated with venous thromboembolism, myocardial infarction, and late fetal loss during pregnancy.
