Target Information
HMGA2 (previously known as HMGI-C) belongs to the group of high mobility chromosomal proteins with the AT-hook DNA-binding motif.
It is highly and ubiquitously expressed during embryogenesis.
Chromosomal rearrangements and overexpression of HMGA2 are frequently associated with benign and malignant tumors.
Human and mouse HMGA2 share 95% amino acid sequence identity.
