IGFBP2 (Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Protein 2)는 IGF 결합 단백질 패밀리의 구성원으로, 다양한 IGF와 결합합니다.
IGFBP2는 glioma, prostate cancer, synovial sarcoma, neuroblastoma, colon cancer, adrenocortical cancer, lung cancer, Wilms’ tumor, hepatoblastoma 등 다양한 암종에서 과발현됩니다.
또한 IGFBP2의 과발현은 종양의 공격성과 관련이 있으며, matrix metalloprotease 2의 발현을 유도하여 세포 침습성을 증가시킵니다.
