Target Information
Alpha Tubulin은 α 및 β tubulin 소단위체로 구성된 이합체의 일부로, 미세소관(microtubule)의 기본 구성 단위입니다. 각 tubulin은 약 55 kDa의 분자량을 가지며, α-β tubulin 이합체는 세포 내에서 구조적 지지체 및 수송 경로 역할을 수행합니다. 또한 세포 분열 시 중요한 역할을 하며, 진핵세포의 세포골격(cytoskeleton)을 구성하는 필수 단백질입니다.
여러 α 및 β tubulin 유전자는 종 간에 고도로 보존되어 있으며, α-tubulin을 암호화하는 유전자는 생쥐 및 랫트의 Tuba1 유전자와 유사합니다. Northern blotting 연구 결과, 이 유전자는 형태학적으로 분화된 신경세포에서 주로 발현됨이 확인되었습니다.
