This antibody detects full-length human MuRF1 recombinant protein on SDS-PAGE immunoblots.
Target Information
This gene encodes a member of the RING zinc finger protein family found in striated muscle and iris. The protein localizes to the Z-line and M-line lattices of myofibrils, where titin’s N-terminal and C-terminal regions bind to the sarcomere. In vitro studies show that this protein binds directly to titin near its kinase region. Another family member binds to microtubules, suggesting a role in linking titin kinase to microtubule-dependent signaling pathways in muscle.
