Preparation
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human VEGF 165. The antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Human VEGF 165 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA
For detection of Human VEGF 165 by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.5–2.0 µg/mL. When paired with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human VEGF 165 (500-P10Bt), detection sensitivity reaches 0.2–0.4 ng/well of recombinant VEGF 165.

Western Blot
For detection of Human VEGF 165 by Western blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. Detection limit: 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions with compatible secondary reagents.

The vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) family includes VEGF-A, VEGF-B, VEGF-C, VEGF-D, VEGF-E, and PlGF. VEGF and its receptors are fundamental regulators of angiogenesis signaling. Most tumors require angiogenesis, and VEGF is the most potent angiogenic cytokine involved.
Five isoforms of VEGF result from alternative splicing of a single VEGF gene, binding primarily to tyrosine kinase receptors flt-1 (VEGFR-1) and flk-1/KDR (VEGFR-2), expressed mainly on endothelial cells.
