Product Specific Information
This antibody detects a 72 kDa protein corresponding to the molecular mass of Themis on SDS-PAGE immunoblots of mouse spleen and human K562 cells.
Target Information
Themis is a cytoplasmic protein essential for positive selection and the development of single-positive thymocytes. It is highly expressed in CD4+CD8+ double-positive thymocytes and expressed at lower levels in mature T cells. Themis associates with PLCγ1 and LAT and is phosphorylated by SLP-76 following TCR signaling. There are five isoforms of mouse Themis produced by alternative splicing.
