Product Specific Information

For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of about 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).


Target Information

Programmed death-ligand 2 (PD-L2, also known as B7-DC) is part of the B7 ligand family within the immunoglobulin superfamily. It acts as a ligand for programmed cell death protein 1 (PD-1), similar to PD-L1.
PD-L2 is primarily expressed in dendritic cells but can be induced in various immune and non-immune cells depending on the microenvironment. Its expression is upregulated by cytokines such as IL-4, TNF-α, and IFN-γ.
PD-L2 binds PD-1 with higher affinity than PD-L1 and plays a role in immune checkpoint regulation by inhibiting T cell activation and cytokine secretion.
Recent studies have shown that PD-L2 also interacts with RGMb (repulsive guidance molecule b), influencing respiratory tolerance in the lung through BMP and/or neogenin signaling pathways.
The human PD-L2 monomer consists of a 201-amino-acid extracellular domain, a 21-amino-acid transmembrane domain, and a 32-amino-acid cytoplasmic domain.
