Target Information
SMAD2 (MADH2, MAD2)는 세포 증식, 세포사멸, 분화 등 다양한 세포 과정 조절에 관여합니다.
이 단백질은 TGF-β 수용체와 상호작용하여 핵으로 이동하며, TGF-β 신호전달의 중심 역할을 합니다.
ERK1에 의한 인산화는 SMAD2의 전사 활성화를 증가시키며, 칼모듈린에 의해 음성 조절됩니다.
TGF-β 신호에 반응하여 SMAD2는 인산화되어 SMAD4와 결합하고, 핵으로 이동하여 전사 억제 복합체를 형성합니다.
또한 activin type 1 receptor kinase에 의해 인산화될 수 있으며, activin 신호를 매개합니다.
대체 스플라이싱된 전사체 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
