Rat anti-Mouse CD41 antibody, clone MWReg30, recognizes the mouse integrin alpha IIb subunit CD41.
Target Information
CD41 (platelet glycoprotein IIb, ITGA2B) is composed of two subunits: 120 kDa alpha and 23 kDa beta. These interact with CD61 in the presence of calcium to form a functional adhesive protein receptor.
CD41 mediates platelet aggregation and binds to proteins such as von Willebrand factor, fibrinogen, fibronectin, and vitronectin upon vascular injury.
It is mainly expressed in the megakaryocyte-platelet lineage and is involved in early hematopoietic differentiation.
Diseases associated with CD41 dysfunction include Glanzmann Thrombasthenia and Platelet type-16 bleeding disorder.
