Product Specific Information
Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. These systems are developed by cloning specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production.

Target Information
CD34 is a highly glycosylated monomeric surface protein (111–115 kDa) expressed on many stem cell populations. It serves as a stem cell marker, although its expression on human hematopoietic stem cells is reversible.
Biological roles:
- May act as a receptor involved in adhesion, differentiation, and proliferation of hematopoietic stem cells
- Possibly mediates attachment of stem cells to the bone marrow extracellular matrix or stromal cells
- May serve as a scaffold for glycans binding to lectins expressed by stromal or marrow cells
- Involved in presenting carbohydrate ligands to selectins
- Intracellular chain is phosphorylated by protein kinase C, suggesting a role in signal transduction
Diseases associated with CD34 dysfunction include dermatofibrosarcoma and neurofibroma.
