Product Specific Information
The monoclonal antibody OX104 recognizes human CD200 (OX2), a member of the Ig superfamily with two Ig domains, a transmembrane, and a cytoplasmic domain. CD200 is expressed on resting and activated B cells, subsets of T cells, keratinocytes, peripheral and central nerve cells, follicular dendritic cells, and ovarian cells. Interaction with CD200R modulates immune responses by attenuating macrophage activation and cytokine secretion, contributing to immune regulation and maternal tolerance.
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells.
Use at 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (defined for 100 µL final staining volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test.

Target Information
CD200 is a type-1 membrane glycoprotein with two immunoglobulin domains, part of the immunoglobulin superfamily. It interacts with CD200R on myeloid cells, inhibiting macrophage activation. Homologues are found in herpesviruses and poxviruses. CD200 may regulate myeloid cell activity and provide inhibitory signals to macrophages. Multiple alternatively spliced variants exist.
Associated diseases include Mantle Cell Lymphoma and Primary Hypertrophic Osteoarthropathy.
