Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid; dilute only before immediate use.
This antibody reacts with RFP and variants including mCherry, tdTomato, mBanana, mOrange, mPlum, and mStrawberry. Immunoelectrophoresis shows a single precipitin arc against anti-peroxidase, anti-Rabbit Serum, and purified Red Fluorescent Protein (Discosoma). No cross-reactivity with Human, Mouse, or Rat serum proteins. ELISA confirms specificity at <0.1% of target signal.
Target Information
Red Fluorescent Protein (RFP) is derived from sea anemone (Discosoma sp., Uniprot ID: Q9U6Y8). It serves as a molecular tag for studying protein localization, reporter gene expression, and protein-protein interactions. Although naturally a homotetramer, monomeric variants are available for diverse applications.
