Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This affinity-purified antibody is directed against the HA motif and is useful in determining its presence in various assays. This polyclonal anti-HA tag antibody detects over-expressed proteins containing the HA epitope tag. In western blotting of bacterial extracts, the antibody does not cross-react with endogenous proteins.
Target Information
HA Tag (hemagglutinin tag) is an epitope tag that provides a method to localize gene products in a variety of cell types, study protein topology and complexes, identify associated proteins, and characterize newly identified or low abundance proteins when specific antibodies are not available. HA (hemagglutinin) is a surface glycoprotein derived from influenza hemagglutinin and is commonly expressed as a tag in conjunction with proteins to aid in identification and purification for functional analysis. HA tag antibodies can be used to facilitate protein detection or co-immunoprecipitation of tagged proteins.
