Product Specific Information

PA1-830 detects c-Fos from mouse and human cells.
It has been successfully used in Western blot and immunofluorescence procedures.
By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~60 kDa protein representing c-Fos in NIH 3T3 serum-stimulated cells.
The immunogen sequence is completely conserved in mouse c-Fos.
Reconstitute with 200 µL of PBS (1 mg/mL).

Target Information

FBJ murine osteosarcoma viral oncogene homolog, commonly known as Cellular protooncogene Fos (c-Fos), belongs to the fos transcription factor family and is encoded by the C-FOS gene located on chromosome 14.
c-Fos heterodimerizes with c-Jun to form the Activator Protein-1 (AP-1) transcription factor, which regulates transcription of several genes involved in cellular signal transduction, proliferation, and differentiation.
c-Fos is phosphorylated by various stimuli, including growth factors and insulin, at multiple sites.
The ERK MAPK kinase phosphorylates c-Fos at Threonine 232, regulating its nuclear localization and transcriptional activity.
