This product contains purified recombinant human MIP-1α protein with an N-terminal hexahistidine tag.
It may be used as a positive control in various immunological assays.
Target Information
MIP-1α (CCL3) and MIP-1β are structurally and functionally related CC chemokines involved in host defense against bacterial, viral, parasitic, and fungal pathogens. They regulate trafficking and activation of inflammatory cells such as macrophages, lymphocytes, and NK cells.
MIP-1α selectively attracts CD8⁺ lymphocytes, while MIP-1β attracts CD4⁺ lymphocytes. Both are potent chemoattractants for B cells, eosinophils, and dendritic cells. Human and murine MIP-1α/β are active on human and murine hematopoietic cells.
