Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if not clear after standing at room temperature. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.
This antibody recognizes the FLAG™ epitope tag (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) and is useful for detecting FLAG-tagged proteins in various assays. It binds to the FLAG™ epitope at either the N- or C-terminus of target proteins in transfected or transformed cells.
Target Information
The DYKDDDDK tag (FLAG tag) is an eight–amino acid peptide (Asp-Tyr-Lys-Asp-Asp-Asp-Asp-Lys) widely used for protein purification, detection, and localization. It can be fused to either terminus of a protein, enabling easy identification and isolation using anti-FLAG antibodies. The FLAG tag is hydrophilic and less likely to disrupt protein folding or activity, making it ideal for molecular biology and biochemistry research applications such as protein-protein interaction, expression analysis, and localization studies.
