Product Specific Information
Store vial at 4°C prior to restoration. For extended storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Centrifuge if solution is not clear after standing. Stable for several weeks at 4°C as undiluted liquid. Dilute only immediately before use.
This antibody reacts specifically with human MEK2 and is expected to cross-react with mouse and rat MEK2 based on sequence identity. It does not react with the MEK1 isoform.
Target Information
MAP2K2 (MEK2) is a dual specificity serine/threonine kinase involved in mitogen growth factor signal transduction. It activates ERK1/2 and MAPK enzymes by phosphorylating both residues within the TEY motif in the activation loop. MEK1 and MEK2 are activated by dual phosphorylation on serine 218 and 222. MEK1 is further regulated by phosphorylation at threonine 292 by ERK2, which provides negative feedback regulation.
