Product Specific Information

The RA3-6B2 monoclonal antibody reacts with exon A-restricted isoform of mouse CD45, a 220 kDa surface molecule. CD45R/B220 epitope is mainly expressed by B-cell lineage from early Pro-B to mature B cells. Some activated T cells, LAK cells, NK progenitors, and certain mutant T cells also express this antigen.

Applications Reported: Flow cytometry, immunohistochemical staining (formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded, frozen sections).
Applications Tested: Flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes ≤0.125 µg/test (100 µL final volume). Cell number: 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test. Titrate for optimal performance.
Filtration: 0.2 µm post-manufacturing filtered.

Target Information

CD45R (PTPRC) belongs to the protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP) family, regulating cell growth, differentiation, mitosis, and transformation. CD45 is expressed in hematopoietic cells and regulates T- and B-cell receptor signaling. It exists in multiple isoforms via alternative splicing, differing in extracellular domains. CD45 influences lymphocyte development, antigen signaling, integrin-mediated survival, and apoptosis. CD45RA isoform shows restricted lymphoid cell expression. CD45 dysfunction is associated with Severe Combined Immunodeficiency and Hepatitis C.
