Target Information
Glutathione S-transferase (GST) is a 26 kDa protein present in both eukaryotes and prokaryotes, catalyzing a variety of reactions.
GST is widely used in the GST gene fusion system, allowing purification of fusion proteins via high affinity for glutathione.
Fusion proteins provide an important assay tool for studying direct protein-to-protein interactions.
The GST gene fusion system has been introduced into numerous expression vectors.
