Product Specific Information
- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Chimpanzee, Gorilla, Gibbon, Marmoset (100%); Rat, Dog, Panda, Rabbit (83%) - For IHC(P): Use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.
Target Information
Glutamate receptors are the principal excitatory neurotransmitter receptors in the brain. Two classes exist:
- Ionotropic receptors: Oligomeric complexes forming ligand-gated calcium channels (e.g., GluR17, NMDA13, KAI2)
- Metabotropic receptors: G-protein coupled receptors that activate phospholipases or adenylyl cyclase depending on the neuron type.
