- Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis:
Human, Gorilla, Gibbon (100%); Monkey (94%); Marmoset (88%) - For IHC(P), use heat-induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer.
- After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

The HTR5A gene encodes a multi-pass membrane protein functioning as a receptor for serotonin (5-HT) and couples to G-proteins.
This receptor contributes to intracellular Ca²⁺ mobilization regulation.
