This antibody detects endogenous levels of Hsp90 alpha only when phosphorylated at Tyr627.
Target Information
HSP90 proteins are highly conserved molecular chaperones that play key roles in signal transduction, protein folding, degradation, and morphologic evolution. They associate with cochaperones to fold newly synthesized proteins or refold denatured proteins after stress. There are two major cytosolic forms: HSP90AA1 (inducible) and HSP90AB1, as well as mitochondrial variants (Chen et al., 2005).
