Strawberry notch homologue 2 (Sbno2) is encoded by the gene mapped to human chromosome 19p13.3. The encoded protein belongs to the strawberry notch family of helicase transcriptional corepressors. Sbno2 is expressed at high levels in hematopoietic cells such as spleen and bone marrow. It is also expressed at low levels in the kidney, liver, brain, skin, heart and muscles.
