Description:
The 16B1 antibody reacts with human CD144 (VE-cadherin, cadherin-5). VE-cadherin is a calcium-dependent adhesion molecule localized at endothelial cell junctions in blood and lymphatic vessels, involved in vascular permeability and remodeling.
Applications Reported:
Validated for flow cytometric analysis.
Applications Tested:
Pre-diluted and tested by flow cytometry using Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells (HUVEC). Recommended usage is 5 µL (0.25 µg) per 100 µL test volume. Applicable for 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test.
Fluorochrome Information:
Alexa Fluor 700 emits at 723 nm and is excited by the red laser (633–647 nm). Recommended optical setup: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 band pass filter.

VE-cadherin is a calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion glycoprotein of the cadherin superfamily, located on chromosome 16. It contains five extracellular cadherin repeats, a transmembrane region, and a conserved cytoplasmic tail. It plays a crucial role in endothelial cell cohesion and junction organization and may be implicated in vascular biology and tumor progression.
