For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL (Product #89882).

Target Information

Steroid receptors are ligand-dependent intracellular proteins that regulate transcription of specific genes upon hormone activation. Before activation, these receptors form complexes with various proteins including heat shock proteins (HSP70, HSP90), immunophilins (FKBP52, FKBP54, CyP-40), and other proteins such as p23, p60, and p48.

The p23 protein, encoded by cloned human p23, consists of 160 amino acids and is highly conserved among species. It is an acidic phosphoprotein with multiple phosphorylation sites and an aspartic acid-rich C-terminal domain. In vitro studies indicate that p23 binds to HSP90 and facilitates the interaction of HSP90 and CyP-40 with the progesterone receptor (PR). Although its exact function remains unclear, p23 is considered an important factor in PR function.
