Product Specific Information
This antibody detects endogenous levels of CaMKII beta/gamma/delta only when phosphorylated at Threonine 287.
Target Information
The Ca²⁺/calmodulin-dependent protein kinases (CaM kinases) form a subfamily of serine/threonine kinases, including CaMKI, CaMKII, and CaMKIV.
CaMKII is a ubiquitously expressed serine/threonine protein kinase activated by Ca²⁺ and calmodulin (CaM), involved in cell cycle and transcription regulation.
There are four CaMKII isozymes (alpha, beta, gamma, delta), which may or may not be coexpressed in the same tissue type.
CaMKIV activation also requires phosphorylation by a CaMK in addition to Ca²⁺/CaM stimulation.
