Product Specific Information
1 µg/mL of MA5-45091 was sufficient for detection of HSP70 in 20 µg of heat-shocked HeLa cell lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 70 kDa and does not cross-react with HSC70 (HSP73).
Target Information
HSP70 is a heat shock protein expressed in response to various biological stresses such as high temperature. The HSP70 family includes several conserved proteins—HSP70, HSP72, HSC70, GRP78 (BiP), and HSP75—each with specific roles in protein folding, stress response, and cellular homeostasis.
HSP70 stabilizes existing proteins against aggregation, assists in folding newly translated proteins, and participates in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway. The HSP70 gene is located in the MHC class III region alongside related genes encoding similar proteins.
