Product Specific Information
- A 1:1,000 dilution of MA5-45087 detects HSP90α in 10 µg of HeLa lysate by ECL immunoblot using goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as secondary antibody.
- Detects 90 kDa band.
- Does not detect HSP90 beta.
Target Information
Heat shock proteins (HSPs) are expressed in response to various biological stresses, including heat.
HSP90 is a 90 kDa protein induced under stress but also abundant under normal conditions.
It associates with intracellular proteins such as steroid receptors, actin, tubulin, and kinases.
HSP90 helps maintain the structural integrity of steroid receptors, enabling ligand binding during activation.
