Product Specific Information
- 1 µg/mL of MA5-27585 was sufficient for detection of Neuroligin 4 in 20 µg of mouse brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.
- Detects approximately 125–130 kDa.
- Does not cross-react with other Neuroligins.
- This antibody was formerly sold as clone S98-7.
Target Information
Neuroligin-4, X linked (also known as NLGN4X, NLGN4, Neuroligin-4, and Neuroligin 4X) is a postsynaptic cell-adhesion molecule that interacts with presynaptic cell-surface neurexins. These interactions bridge together the synaptic cleft and play an essential role in synaptic transmissions between neurons.
There are five neuroligin genes in humans: NLGN1, NLGN2, NLGN3, NLGN4X, and NLGN4Y. Mutations in NLGN3 and NLGN4X are linked to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
Expression of neuroligin-4, X-linked has been reported on human pluripotent stem cells.
