AA Sequence of recombinant protein:

Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human PF-4 (CXCL4).
Anti-Human PF-4 (CXCL4)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human PF-4 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human PF-4 (500-P05) as a capture antibody, allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human PF-4.

Western Blot:
To detect hPF-4 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
Used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hPF-4 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Platelet factor-4 (PF4) is a 70-amino acid protein released from the alpha-granules of activated platelets and binds with high affinity to heparin.
Its main physiological role is the neutralization of heparin-like molecules on endothelial surfaces, inhibiting local antithrombin III activity and promoting coagulation.
PF4 also acts as a chemoattractant for neutrophils and fibroblasts, suggesting roles in inflammation and wound repair (Eisman et al., 1990).
