Preparation:
Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human sIL-2 Receptor alpha. Anti-Human sIL-2 Receptor alpha-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human sIL-2 Receptor alpha by sandwich ELISA (100 µL/well), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human sIL-2 Receptor alpha (500-P22RBT) as a capture antibody, it detects at least 2000–4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human sIL-2 Receptor alpha.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human sIL-2 Receptor alpha by Western Blot, use 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. With compatible reagents, detection limit is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

CD25 is a cytokine receptor involved in T and B lymphocyte proliferation. The IL2RA forms a heterotrimeric receptor complex with IL2RB and IL2RG, constituting the high-affinity IL-2 receptor. Homodimeric IL2RA chains form a low-affinity receptor, while IL2RB homodimers form a medium-affinity receptor. IL2 is mainly produced by mature T cells and functions as a growth, differentiation, and apoptotic regulator. It stimulates B-cell proliferation, enhances NK cell activity, and inhibits granulocyte macrophage colony formation. Mutations in IL2RA are associated with interleukin 2 receptor alpha deficiency and immune dysregulation.
