Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-2. The anti-Human IL-2-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography using an immobilized Human IL-2 matrix.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect Human IL-2 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), a concentration of 0.5–2.0 µg/mL of this antibody is required.
When used with PeproTech Biotinylated Anti-Human IL-2 (500-P22GBt) as a detection antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant Human IL-2.

Western Blot:
For detection of Human IL-2 by Western blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL.
When used with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human IL-2 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under both reducing and non-reducing conditions.

Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is an immunomodulatory cytokine important for the proliferation of activated T cells, differentiation of B cells, and activation of natural killer cells, monocytes, and macrophages.
IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric protein complex whose gamma chain is also shared by IL-4 and IL-7.
The IL-2 gene in mature thymocytes is expressed monoallelically, representing a unique regulatory mechanism.
Disruption of a similar gene in mice leads to an ulcerative colitis-like disease, underscoring IL-2’s essential role in immune response regulation.
