Preparation:
Produced from sera of goats immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human IL-2. Anti-Human IL-2-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and subsequently biotinylated.

Sandwich ELISA:
To detect hIL-2 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 µL/well antibody solution), use 0.25–1.0 µg/mL of this antibody. When used with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human IL-2 (500-P22G) as the capture antibody, it allows detection of at least 0.2–0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hIL-2.

Western Blot:
For hIL-2 detection by Western Blot, use at 0.1–0.2 µg/mL. In conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant hIL-2 is 1.5–3.0 ng/lane under reducing or non-reducing conditions.

Target Information

Interleukin 2 (IL-2) is an immunomodulatory cytokine essential for the proliferation of activated T cells and differentiation of B cells, NK cells, monocytes, and macrophages. IL-2 signals through the IL-2 receptor (IL-2R), a heterotrimeric complex whose gamma chain is also shared by IL-4 and IL-7. Expression of the IL-2 gene in mature thymocytes is monoallelic, representing a unique regulatory mechanism. Disruption of the IL-2 gene in mice leads to an ulcerative colitis-like disease, indicating its crucial role in immune regulation.
