Description:
The 20d5 monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse NKG2A, C, and E. NKG2 molecules are C-type lectin-like receptors expressed by NK and NKT cells. They form heterodimeric complexes with CD94 and recognize the non-classical MHC class I antigen Qa-1.

When co-staining with NKG2A^B6 clone 16a11, stain for NKG2A-B6 first, then NKG2A/C/E, as steric hindrance may occur if stained concurrently.

Applications Reported:
Reported for use in flow cytometric analysis.

Applications Tested:
Tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. Recommended ≤0.06 µg/test (in 100 µL final volume). Cell number may range from 10⁵ to 10⁸ cells/test. Optimize titration for best performance.

Target Information

Natural killer (NK) cells mediate lysis of tumor and virus-infected cells and regulate humoral and cell-mediated immunity. The encoded protein belongs to the NKG2 (killer cell lectin-like receptor) family, characterized by type II membrane orientation and a C-type lectin domain.
It forms a complex with KLRD1/CD94 and recognizes MHC class I HLA-E molecules.
The NKG2 gene family forms a receptor gene cluster on chromosome 12, with four alternatively spliced variants encoding two isoforms.
