Target Information
ALDH1A1은 알데하이드 탈수소효소(Aldehyde Dehydrogenase) 계열의 단백질로, 알코올 대사의 주요 산화 경로에서 두 번째 효소로 작용합니다. 간에서 두 가지 주요 동형체(세포질형과 미토콘드리아형)가 존재하며, 이들은 전기영동 이동성, 효소 반응 특성, 세포 내 위치에 따라 구분됩니다. 대부분의 백인에서는 두 가지 주요 동형체가 존재하지만, 약 50%의 동양인은 미토콘드리아형이 결여되어 세포질형만 가지고 있습니다. 이러한 차이는 동양인에서 급성 알코올 중독 빈도가 높은 것과 관련이 있을 수 있습니다.
